Getting Started

What are Happy Pops?

Happy Pops are hydrating enrichment treats (otherwise known as popsicles ;) made with simple, real ingredients. They start dry—just add water, shake, freeze, and treat! Each recipe is formulated using carbs, electrolytes, and protein to ensure your furry friend(s) stay happy, healthy, and hydrated year round!

How do I make Happy Pops?

It’s easy! Open the zipper-top tube, add water to the fill line, seal the zipper-top, shake well, and pop it in the freezer until completely frozen.

How should I serve them?

The classic way is to serve Happy Pops like a push pop—just push the frozen treat up as your pup licks! You can also freeze the mixture in The Pupsicle mold, spread it on a lick mat, or freeze it right in your dog’s bowl.

Can they be eaten without freezing?

Yes! Happy Pops can be enjoyed dry as a meal topper or mixed with water like flavored water. Freezing creates the classic Happy Pops experience and provides longer-lasting enrichment.

How should I store them?

Before adding water, store Happy Pops in a climate-controlled, dry place. Once prepared with water, keep them frozen until you’re ready to serve.

How long does the treat last?

It depends on your pup! Most Happy Pops provide around 5–10 minutes of licking enrichment, but enthusiastic pups may finish theirs faster while others like to take their time.

How long do they take to freeze?

We recommend freezing Happy Pops for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely frozen. For the best results, make them the night before so they’re ready when your pet is!

Are Happy Pops messy?

They can be... but that’s part of the fun! For less mess, serve your Happy Pop outside like a bone, frozen to a dog bowl, on an easy-to-clean surface, or recruit your young family or friends!

My pet loves ice. What product should I start with?

If your pet already loves ice, they’re a natural Happy Pops candidate!

Choose our bestselling Hoof & Hound | Pet Treat Sampler to explore a variety of fan-favorite flavors, or try our Sensitive Stomach | Dog Treat Sampler, featuring only fruit- and vegetable-based flavors.

Which flavors are most popular with horses or farm animals?

Horses and their barn buddies tend to love the classics—carrots, oats, and peppermint!

That’s exactly why our Farm Friends | Pet Treat Sampler includes Glazed Carrot, Peppermint, and Nana-Oat, three flavors that are favorites around the barn.

I have a small dog. Can they eat a whole Happy Pop?

Happy Pops are a hit with pups of all sizes, and we have plenty of Yorkies, Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, Italian Greyhounds, and other small pups who love them!

Your dog doesn’t have to finish an entire Happy Pop in one sitting—let them enjoy a portion, reseal the zipper-top, and return the rest to the freezer for later.

My pet didn't eat their Happy Pop. What should I do?

Don’t give up just yet! Just like us, pups have their own flavor preferences, so let them try a few different Happy Pops to find their favorite—you’ll usually know which one wins by how quickly they finish it!

You may also need to experiment with how you serve it. Some dogs are lickers, while others are chompers! Try serving it push-pop style, letting it soften for a few minutes, putting it down outside like a bone, freezing it in a bowl or on a lick mat, or even letting it melt into flavored water. You can also mix in a pet-safe favorite like bone broth, plain yogurt, or peanut butter.

Even the way your pup has been trained can influence how they prefer to enjoy their Happy Pop. My Golden Retriever, Hazel, initially refused to eat a Happy Pop from my hand because she had been trained not to take food from people. As soon as I put it down for her to enjoy on her own, she devoured it.

Every dog is different, so try a few flavors, textures, and serving styles to figure out what your pup prefers!
